Bring confidence back to your smile

Orthodontic treatment, or the straightening of teeth, is the best way to improve the appearance of crooked teeth. Moving teeth into a straighter alignment is preferable to masking the crookedness with crowns, veneers, or fillings – and it can be done in a variety of ways. Each mouth is evaluated on an individual basis, and a treatment plan is made up to meet your unique requirements.

While crooked teeth aren’t a “disease,” per se, they can impact the way you chew and how you feel about your smile. If crooked teeth cause you embarrassment while smiling, seriously consider this option. If you’re no longer an adolescent, orthodontic care is still on the table! In fact, orthodontics in adults is actually increasing in popularity as people are realizing that they are not “too old for it,” and with clear aligners such as Invisalign, nobody else needs to know!

Invisalign FAQs

Orthodontics encompasses a large range of ages!  For younger children, we are focusing on guiding proper growth and development of the jaws.  At older ages, we look more at individual tooth positions.  Provided your oral hygiene, gum health, and overall health allow it, there are surprisingly few obstacles!

Yes! Clear aligners can be used on more and more people.  Think of it as a tool – you pick the best tool for the job.  If the orthodontic condition is suitable, Invisalign (or similar clear aligners) can absolutely be used!

This is very much dependent on the expected complexity and duration of treatment.  It all starts with an assessment, but unlike many dental procedures, the cost of orthodontics is spread out over the course of treatment.  This makes it much more affordable.

Invisalign is one of many companies offering clear aligners.  They all work by exerting pressure on teeth to guide them to the desired final position, but they differ from braces primarily because these are removable appliances.  This is helpful due to facilitate oral hygiene measures at home!  The most obvious advantage though, is the near-invisability of the aligners!  This overcomes the aesthetic hurdle of braces and opens up the possibilities for many more adults.
